 PREVENTING FORECLOSURE FORUM:
On February 26th, LCAOR's Public Relations Committee, headed by Anita McKee, Chairman, presented the "Preventing Foreclosure Forum" .
The event was well attended with Standing Room Only by both the public and LCAOR members.

Guest speakers who donated their time and expertise were:
Robert Riggs, Atty. and John Robertson, CPA
Robert Riggs, Atty., Broadmoor Way, Kelseyville. Mr. Riggs opened the Forum and spoke abou the legal aspects of Foreclosure and Short Sale ... how it occurs and how it can be prevented or forestalled. His discussion was extremely informative.
He was followed by Lizette Robinson, WAMU, Lakeport who discussed the different types of loans available, new FHA changes and how to re-finance your current loan.
Manny Santos of Wells Fargo, Clearlake then spoke on communicating with your lender. Communication is the Key to forestalling a foreclosure. When you do it is very important.
The Forum was closed with John Robertson, CPA with Robertson, Cahill & Associates, Lakeport. Mr. Robertson spoke about the tax implicatons of a short sale and a foreclosure.
